Adam wins the Jersey! and Other Open House Happenings

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Open House, Book Launch and Annual General Meeting on Saturday, October 26, 13 at the Spectrum Office. There were great presentations by Sheenagh Morrison, Ben Simcoe, Cheryl Fryfield, Michelle Goos, the Vancouver Public Library, Barb Westfield and Richard MacDonald.  One new book was launched: Researching Researchers, by Sheenagh Morrison.  A new music CD was also released: Peter Bourne and “If I can help someone today”. As the last activity of the afternoon, we raffled off a Canucks Jersey as a door prize.  Congratulations to Adam Hooge! Go Canucks Go!

Many thanks to everyone who helped organize the event: Anne Maria and her team of managers – Jackie, Lanni, Sarah and Yasemin.  Stephen helped with transportation of guests and Jim and Barb set up all the Spectrum Press displays.  Judy ensured all the office resources were available and arranged for the event.

It was great to see so many old and new friends at the Open House.  One very special guest was our friend Mildred DeHaan.  Local MLA Jenny Kwan also stopped by and chatted with many of the guests.
