IMPORTANT - Personal Support Networks survey
If you or your organization offers any kind of support to personal support networks, please take a moment to complete this survey.  We're trying to get the fullest possible picture of what's going on in the province right now.  If you're not sure that what you do qualifies, complete it anyway!  The more information the better.  If you know of someone or some project that might be interested, please forward the link below.  Thanks!

New Policies and Procedures!
Our annual review of Spectrum's policies and procedures has now been completed.  All of the new and revised policies have been uploaded to a new "Policies and Procedures" site on the main Spectrum website.  Please note that we will no longer be distributing paper copies of the policy manuals.  Instead we will upload any new or amended policies to this site.  Many thanks to Spectrum's Policy Committee for their contributions to this project.  Happy reading!

 Community Living Services are:

...a range of supports provided to people with disabilities, enabling them to live as full citizens in the community:

Residential Services - places for people to live as independently as possible, with assistance provided by staff or live-in caregivers as required.

Community Inclusion Services - support for people to be engaged in their community in meaningful ways, including paid or volunteer work, continuing education, and recreation.

Shared Living - an alternative to staffed residential services.  People are matched with caregivers (families, couples or singles) who want to share their homes and their lives with someone with a disability.
