Wage and Benefits review:
Notice from Sun life received. Ra= tes down up to 15% except for Long Term disability rates which increased.
Decrease in rate is equal to $20/month per person. Em= ployees will now pay $27 a month for MSP instead of the previous amount of $54
Increase to employee $ 9 increase if income is 24K, $= 13 increase if income is 36K, $18 increase if income is 48K
Employee pays LTD so if it is claimed the income is n= ot taxable. LTD pays 66% of income if used.

Computer maintenance:
Call Millie to set up computer repairs/clean out
A new computer firm has been hired to help
Spectrum has a loaner computer while the house one re= ceives servicing
Relief feedback:
One relief staff concerned about lack of shifts being offered.
Each house should have or develop a Relief calling pr= otocol.
Rotating relief keeps people informed instead of call= ing the same person over and over again.
Policy for calling relief in the past:
Call permanent part time staff first (if they are interested)
Update Relief orientation checklists to ensure relief= is learning current support strategies
Spectrum Van:
Has maintenance at least every three months
Do a pre-trip inspection to ensure lights are working= , has oil etc.
Bridges guys provide the cleaning for it
Take Wheelchair straps for maintenance to Dynamic Rep= airs

Designate maintenance person within the house (Manage= r??) to ensure upkeep of vehicles.

Medical Care Client choice vs Staff choice
Staff cannot force individuals to go to the doctor. C= an let them know the information and facts.
Seek help from HSCL nursing staff
Work as a team to come up with strategies to support individual to seek out medical assistance
Person supported buys over the Counter Meds (after be= ing taken off by doctor)
Suggest person buys it from their pharmacy so to redu= ce negative drug interactions (if they are going to buy it)
Document use wherever possible
