Community Development Project in Madagascar
Fundraiser
Rachelle Czerwinski has been involved in this poverty alleviation project since 2009. Funds raised have been used to support a community garden, solar cooking, after school activities for the children (mostly drawing and coloring as they don’t get to do any of that in school). Funding also provides nutritious snacks for the children.
The women do basket weaving and sell fuel efficient cookers as part of their income generating activities.
On March 8th, 2019 we had handmade items for sale which included storage baskets, handwoven silk scarves, embroidered items, essential oils, vanilla essence.
Through your generosity the community was able to build a solar water pump. Thank you everyone!
