Spectrum Staff are invited to attend this online workshop hosted by CQC‘s Peer Facilitator Alison Klein and QMUINTY‘s Manager of Programs Alex DeForge. This is a workshop meant for the Community Living sector, on how to best support 2SLGBTQIA+ persons and to meet fellow colleagues.
Topics of the workshop will include:
- Understanding sexual orientation & gender identity
- Creating space for intersectional identities
- Practical knowledge for creating safer spaces for the queer, trans, and Two-Spirit communities
- Designing social services that are 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusive
- Community-centered approaches for service providers
