DESCRIPTION:The fourth annual Down Syndrome Film Festival will showcase four films created by and starring members of BC’s Down syndrome community\, including short films Tim\, Work in Progress: Employment for People with Down Syndrome\, and Unified Voices\, plus full-length feature King Arthur’s Night. \nKing Arthur’s Night is a genre-defying documentary film\, directed by John Bolton of Opus 59 Films\, inspired by a medieval musical play created by an amazing company of artists living with and without Down syndrome\, including award-winning playwrights Niall McNeil and Marcus Youssef; visionary director James Long; and iconic musician Veda Hille.

DESCRIPTION:Presented by Deepi Leihl and Eilidh Nicholson \nWhen: June 16th from 2pm to 6pm \nWhere: Barb Goode Training Room \nSpectrum has created a new learning module for all staff and caregivers on Person- Centered Thinking. This is an opportunity for us to come together to learn and share collaboratively. We will reflect on what person-centered thinking means at Spectrum and what it means to you. We will work together to deepen our understanding. \nWe will be offering this course throughout the year. We encourage all staff and caregivers to take this learning opportunity. All employees will be paid for their time. \nPlease register by email to Charlotte at charlotte.aurini@spectrumsociety.org. There is a maximum of 15 people per session\, so first come first served but there will be a waitlist for upcoming sessions. Please register by June 9th. \nFood will be provided so please let Charlotte know if you have any dietary needs. \nPlease contact Eilidh Nicholson at eilidh.nicholson@spectrumsociety.org if you have any questions.
