November is Indigenous Disability Awareness Month in BC!
The British Columbia Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS) created Indigenous Disability Awareness Month in 2015 to raise awareness and celebrate the overlooked contributions made by First Nations, Métis and Inuit people with disabilities in communities across the province of BC, and address the unique challenges and barriers they face.
REMINDER: Make sure to stay up-to-date on your immunizations!
Appointment invitations for both COVID boosters and influenza vaccines are being sent out to those who have registered with BC’s Get Vaccinated System. You are able to book both in the same appointment for greater convenience! If you have recently recovered from a COVID infection, it is perfectly safe to receive a COVID vaccine after recently recovering from all symptoms.
If you need help booking your appointment, or have any questions, please call 1-833-838-2323 between 7am to 7pm every day, or 9am to 5pm on statutory holidays, with translators available. For people who are deaf, there are telephone services available by calling 711.
