JC has a great sense of humour, finding joy in laughter and sharing experiences with others.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Your Role:
– Cultivate meaningful connections
-Support and respect JC’s decision making and choices.
-Engage in day-to-day activities and routines with JC, including supporting J.C with a cleaning routine and meal-prep.
– Elevate JC’s dignity and self-esteem by assisting in realizing his full potential.
– Consistently implement Individual Service Plans.
– Communicate respectfully and professionally with families, supports, and the public.


Reports to:

Program Manager


Rate of Pay:

CSW: $24.50/hour to $26.65/hour


Probation:

3 months


Driving Requirement:

Driver's license (Class 5)


Preferred Training or Experience:

Preferred Qualities:
-Exudes calmness, confidence, flexibility, friendliness, and respect.
-Strong negotiation abilities and boundary-setting are crucial.
-Person-centred.
-Emphasizes building a trusting relationship, empowering JC in directing his support services.
-Human services sector experience is required. Experience in trauma-informed care and supporting marginalized populations is an asset.

Training Preferences:
– MANDT training preferred.
– Active support


Specific Training or Experience Required:

  • Supporting People who get anxious
  • Ability to motivate, encourage and engage the interests of others.
  • Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)
