Person Centred Planning Through an Indigenous Lens
June 1, 2024
Inclusion BC Presentation:
7F: Person Centred Planning Through an Indigenous Lens and the Importance of Two Eyed Seeing
We will share the learning from our yearlong project on planning with Indigenous people supported by Spectrum Society. How we incorporated Indigenous ceremony and ways of being into our person-centered planning processes.
Indigenous self advocates, supporters and the project leads will share how we began building community and connections to culture and how we are continuing to strengthen these connections.
There will be a focus on storytelling as a valued and important way of learning and creating a safe space for people to have their voices heard and develop their leadership.
