Eddie’s new Job at the YVR Airport!

If you are catching a domestic flight, I encourage you to grab a coffee in the food court and say hello to Eddie! Eddie is the newest member of the Carillon that does all the cleaning and the food court at the airport. He works on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 – 11 pm. When asked if he enjoys it, he replies with an enthusiastic “yes”, and enjoys meeting the people that come through the food court!

He was hired at the airport at the beginning of March doing the cleaning of the washrooms, but he was having difficulty keeping record of when he cleaned the washroom (there’s a sheet that he needs to keep of the time he cleans the washrooms and write his initials). Thus, he worked together with his employers to make the switch to the food court.

His duties are to ensure that the area is clean, chairs are pushed into the tables, the tables are wiped, and the food trays are cleaned and wiped. He enjoys working one-on-one with his colleague, but it is more laid back, with not too much pressure! As it is only his second week on the job, he still needs some guidance in what to do next, but pretty much he knows what to do!

Do go to the airport and say your greetings to Eddie!
