Highlights:

Supporting an independent woman in her 40’s to accomplish her goals. she loves being part of her community and experiencing new things. Exploring, socializing and meeting new people is what she loves.

She is Deaf therefore communicates using sign language, texting and writing English. She is very adaptable but would prefer someone who has experience with non verbal individuals.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Being attentive
  • Being creative
  • Being patient
  • Willing to go out of the house for each shift and exploring new things
  • Organized with time and manage daily routines
  • Can use transit or has a vehicle to access the lower mainland

Reports to:

Program Manager


Rate of Pay:

CSW: $24.50/hour to $26.65/hour


Probation:

3 months


Driving Requirement:

Driving not required


Preferred Training or Experience:

  • Use of gestures or basic sign language
  • Comfortable with non verbal people
  • Willingness to learn


Specific Training or Experience Required:

  • Supporting People who get anxious
  • Ability to motivate, encourage and engage the interests of others.
  • Sign language (beginner)
  • Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)
