Music From The Comfort of Your Home |
|
|
We are excited to share two upcoming digital concerts featuring artists that were scheduled to play the 2020 Festival.
We will continue to share both videos and live recordings through to July, including a specially curated series scheduled for the Festival weekend (July 17-18-19) – more info to come soon!
If you haven’t already, check out the artist videos we’ve shared to our Facebook page within the last few weeks.
While live music in the time of Covid isn’t the same, we are all working to provide some work for musicians and technicians locally, and to provide you, our supporters with some opportunities to listen at leisure (dressed up or leisurely dressed!) in your homes. |

Calgary Folk Music Festival and ATB Present:
Hayley Heynderickx & Tré Burt |
|
|
Tre Burt and Haley Heynderickx are two fabulous US based folk musicians that we were really excited to feature on our 2020 Festival lineup.
We’re thrilled to share this live digital concert presented by our friends at the Calgary Folk Music Festival on June 20th.
Tre Burt’s singing, songwriting and guitar playing impressed the late great John Prine to offer his a spot on his Oh Boy records – the fist new voice added to the label in 15 years. Haley Heynderickx’s has been critically acclaimed for debut LP I Need to Start a Garden, and is a rising star in the indie-folk movement.
WHEN: Saturday, June 20th, 2020 | 6pm (PST/7 pm MST)
WHERE: ONLINE
HOW MUCH: A modest ticket price of $8, which will go towards supporting the artists.
Full Bios and Event Info may be found here. |

Cousin Harley, can explode like an active volcano, swing like the Basie band and holler to be heard in a lonesome back woods, all in a single show. This trio has been rocking international audiences for 20 years. Called the “Motorhead of Rockabilly” by a delirious fan after a particularly raucous show in Holland, there’s nothing tentative about Cousin Harley’s pedal to the metal approach to this stripped down form of rock and roll. Guitarist Paul Pigat is known to VFMF audiences in his Boxcar Campfire project. Here’s a chance to hear him with his fabulous trio pulling out all the stops. |
