Opening Night: Saturday March 24th, 7pm – late
Viewing: Sunday March 25th, 12pm – 5pm

Dynamo Arts Association
30 EAST 6TH AVE VANCOUVER, BC

This year, in addition to exhibiting publications, Print Ready will have a GIF projection room containing digital works by local and international artists. It is our hope that these digital works, in conjunction with the printed matter of the exhibition, insight conversions and ponderings into how accessibility of media and the transference of narratives through media function in differing states. The works in this room are curated by guest curator Gillian Cole.

Print Ready was started in order to promote the work of artists experimenting with self-publishing zines and books. The aim is to foster additional support for artists working within the versatile medium of self-publishing. Print Ready is a non-profit project that hosts book and zine launches, in addition to large group exhibitions. Our office is located in Vancouver at Dynamo Arts Association.

Niall & Marcus Talk About Sh!t Niall Likes

JOIN NIALL MCNEIL, MARCUS YOUSSEF, AND FRIENDS FOR AN EVENING OF GOOD TIMES TALKING ABOUT SH!T NIALL LIKES.

Presented by New Westminster Arts Services

Created and performed by Niall McNeil and Marcus Youssef, directed by Chelsea Haberlin. Music by Veda Hille. Special guests TBA. In Development.

Produced by Neworld Theatre, created with the support of the Boca Del Lupo artist residency program.

Niall McNeil likes to talk and Marcus Youssef is one of his favorite people to talk to. They live around the corner from each other and have known each other since Niall was 18 years old. Niall’s got an opinion about pretty much everything, and he’s funny, too. Niall and Marcus talk about his friends, writing, music, photographs and videos, acting, the grocery store Niall works at, his homemade CSI videos, romance, Beauty and the Beast – all the sh!t Niall likes. It’s a conversation that changes every time they have it. It also questions who in our culture we allow to speak, and who we expect to listen.

Niall is a professional actor and Marcus is a well-known Canadian playwright. Over the last 10 years they have devised a way to write together and, working with musician Veda Hille, written two big shows: Peter Panties (PuSh Festival) and King Arthur’s Night (Luminato, National Arts Centre, PuSh Festival). These groundbreaking productions put the vision of a neurodiverse artist at the centre of their creation, offering audiences a perspective on iconic stories unlike any they have ever seen.
