Introducing Us! Your new Employment Connectors

Introducing Us! Your new employment connectors

We would like to introduce ourselves as your new Employment Connectors here at Spectrum Society for Community Living.

Emma Grenkie has had the privilege to be working at Spectrum Society for two and a half years. She moved here from Ontario where she has experience in supporting individuals in volunteerism, employment, and job coaching. She completed the Employment Support Specialist Program at Douglas College in 2017 and is very excited to utilize these skills and support individuals here at Spectrum. She loves hiking, cycling, drinking lots of coffee, and spending time with her dog.

Bre Nicolson has been working with Spectrum Society for one and a half years. She is excited to be part of a new team offering supported employment opportunities to the people whom Spectrum Society supports. She loves cooking, baking, playing board games, and travel.

Together, we would like to thank Karen Lai for everything she has done to help us create such a smooth transition for both the individuals she has been supporting and for us. Karen has done a fabulous job building relationships with employers, future employees, and their support networks, and has been successful in finding meaningful and lasting employment for many. She will be missed by everyone at Spectrum and we are excited to see where she goes next!

We are excited to offer supported employment to Spectrum. If you would like to chat with us, please e-mail us at employment@spectrumsociety.org or call us at (604) 323-1433 ext. 234.
