Highlights:

SB and SC are looking for someone to balance out their dedicated support team in a beautiful townhome with a friendly cat. They appreciate a balance of fun, and healthy activities with quiet time in the evenings. Their daytime recreation includes going to live plays, theatres, concerts, vacationing and, when at home, they like doing crafts, baking, and watching their favourite TV shows.
SB uses a pictorial book to communicate along with facial gestures and body language. She is able to speak using several key words and she has a fantastic sense of humour. SC communicates verbally although it takes a bit of time to learn her style. She helps out by using her communication device, ipad and she will spell out words if we are having difficulty. She is extremely talented with her artwork and their new small business!

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will help SB and SC with all their personal care, feeding and transfers using a ceiling lift. (full training will be provided) For this position, it entails supporting both individuals with their evening and bedtime routines. For the overnight portion, SB will call several times for various reasons, however, there is a staff bedroom for you.

Rate of Pay:

CSW: $24.50/hour to $26.65/hour; Sleep Night: $18.40/hour to $18.85/hour; Awake Night: $20.20/hour to $22.60/hour


Probation:

3 months


Driving Requirement:

Driving not required


Preferred Training or Experience:


Specific Training or Experience Required:

  • Supporting People who get anxious
  • Ability to motivate, encourage and engage the interests of others.
  • Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)
