Review of 2025 Actions

Here is what we did in the first year of our current strategic plan (2025):

A Good Life in Community
We strengthened community inclusion services by creating a Community Inclusion community of practice, where employees shared ideas and learned together. We began using ideas from the new LIFE/Inclusion Plus service in our Community Inclusion service. We also created a shared housing resource to create better access to housing options and information.

Protecting Spectrum’s Future
We focused on leadership and long‑term stability of the organization. We reviewed how leadership development works at Spectrum and planned ahead for a major leadership transition. An important step was creating a self‑directed coordinators team, which supports service delivery and quality across the organization.

Strong Teams
We expanded training for all staff across the organization. We reviewed person‑centred planning practices to see what was working well and where we could improve and create a staff module on person-centred thinking. We also began creating clearer opportunities for leadership development.

Enhancing Our Contributions
We took a step towards strengthening our relationships outside Spectrum by updating and clarifying our partnership records. We also created a social media plan to better share Spectrum’s work, values, and stories.
